Autumn-themed décor complete with wildflowers welcomed guests to Club XLIV in Champion’s Square for the 17th annual “Golf Ball,” which supports the Fore!Kids Foundation’s programs to enrich the lives of children through education and confidence-building.
The Benchwarmers performed and brought guests out on the dance floor. Patton’s catered the event, with highlights including mini softshell crab bites, oyster-escargot, crawfish sacks, steamship round roast, crème brûlée and cheesecake sundaes.
New this year was an online auction with more than 150 items, including a framed Drew Brees game-worn uniform, a chef’s food and wine pairing at Emeril’s at the kitchen table and a private, fully-catered party at the Acme Oyster House in the French Quarter. There was also a wine raffle, featuring 36 bottles valued at over $4,000, and a men’s Rolex raffle, donated by Adler’s Jewelry.
