The Louisiana Governor’s Mansion Foundation hosted its third annual New Orleans Jazz Brunch November 14 at the home of Danielle Kavanagh. The Louisiana Governor’s Mansion Foundation is a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization that funds the restoration and maintenance of public spaces in Louisiana. It works to keep Louisiana’s rich culture and historical past alive through preservation.
Chairs of the brunch were: Debbie Alciatore, Tiffa Boutté, Jacquee Carvin, Sandra Chaisson, Teresa Guzzetta, Carey Hammett, Ron Krajewski, Pam Lupin, Marjorie McKeithen, Faith Peperone, Stacy Stiel, Leslie Stokes, Jude Swenson and Sandra Trout Wilson. At the event, ferns decorated every table, which was later set with specialties from chef Brian Blanchard from Lafayette. More than 100 guests enjoyed the soothing tunes of saxophonist Eric Baskin while they sipped on bellinis, champagne, mimosas and screwdrivers. Master of Ceremonies Scott Satchfielf of WWL-TV auctioned several items and experiences, including “Tea for 20” at the home of former Gov. and Mrs. Foster.
