The “Amazing Grapes” fine wine and entertaining auction held by the Hermann-Grima/Gallier Historic Houses took place on April 20 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. The silent and live auctions featured a three-course seated dinner with wine pairings.
Some of the silent auction items featured included a chef’s table tasting at Arnaud’s Restaurant; a Florida getaway; artwork from Elise Allen and Patti Lapeyre; and a selection of collectable wines from Vevue Clicquot, Turley Wine Cellars and Peter Michael Winery. Sixteen lots of wine were featured at the live auction, which also included a bottle of Opus One, a Napa Valley Getaway courtesy of Trinchero Family Estates (who also supplied the wine for the evening), an original artwork piece by Tim Trapolin, a 1996 Chateau Lafite Rothschild, a private lunch at the Food Network in NYC and a private in-house dinner catered by the Ralph Brennan Restaurant Group.
The Hermann-Grima + Gallier Houses, two National Historic Landmark properties located in the French Quarter, prodvide continued growth, preservation and educational excellence of the two historical landmarks.
