Originally on a path towards city management, Greg pivoted to healthcare administration early in his career.
“I became fascinated with the complexities of the job and opportunity to make a difference in the quality of people’s lives,” says Greg. Making that difference is still what drives Greg to this day and achieving patient-centered excellence – the very best in clinical care, emotional care, and patient experience – is his mission at Thibodaux Regional Health System.
Greg knows that this powerful vision isn’t enough on its own to achieve success; it requires performance from the heart, accountability, and – again – innovation. “We have sustained our patient satisfaction and engagement scores at the top of all hospitals in the United States,” says Greg. “Getting to the top once is one thing; staying up there is another. The latter clearly involves the achievement of excellence,” he says.
With three decades of leadership at Thibodaux Regional under his belt, Greg has navigated significant industry changes while driving significant growth. Construction is currently underway for an 80,000 square foot, state-of-the-art Cancer Institute, a premier facility that will continue to provide patients with high quality cancer care close to home. Additionally, Thibodaux Regional is investing in the development of a comprehensive Neuroscience Center.
Thibodaux Regional’s thriving innovative Wellness Center is making strides in improving the health of the region. Its WellFit program, which integrates medical care with wellness, offers individuals the ability to achieve the highest quality, most active lifestyle possible.
Thibodaux Regional has achieved top performance in clinical quality and patient safety having earned a 5-Star Quality Rating from Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) among many other national honors and awards.
