NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Since launching its Guest Bartender series last year, Bywater American Bistro (BABs) has attracted cocktail enthusiasts each month throughout the summer to see what local cocktail experts are slinging behind the bar. On Sunday, July 21 from 8 p.m. – 10 p.m., BABs will welcome Lucinda Weed, Brand Ambassador for St~Germain, who will be serving up low-proof seasonal creations.
“My cocktails for this evening are inspired by the notion that one may imbibe to enjoy the flavors, aromas, experience, and company – not simply to inebriate. Join me for a night of herbal aperitifs inspired by fresh, local flavors, featuring St~Germain Elderflower Liqueur,” says Weed.
Imbibers can enjoy Weed’s Peaches and Dreams – St~Germain, Casadores Blanco, Louisiana peach juice, and fresh squeezed lemon, toped with Fevertree aromatic tonic and garnished with tarragon; Drink Your Vegetables – St~Germain, Bombay Sapphire; fresh cucumber juice, lime and Verjus, garnished with a slapped basil leaf; and the St~Germain Spritz – St~Germain, dry sparkling wine and soda water served with a lemon twist. Of course, BABs’ signature cocktails will also be on offer, as well as dinner offerings from Chefs Nina Compton and Levi Raines.
Bywater American Bistro is located in the Rice Mill Lofts at 2900 Chartres Street in New Orleans’ Bywater neighborhood. The restaurant serves dinner, Wednesday – Sunday with seating from 5PM – 10PM and brunch, Saturdays and Sundays with seating from 10:30AM – 2PM.
