NEW ORLEANS (press release) – One of the most popular Italian holiday traditions is the Feast of the Seven Fishes, celebrating a bounty of wonderful fresh seafood. As GW Fins is a New Orleans’ fine dining seafood restaurant, it is only fitting that The Feast of the Seven Fishes has become a popular culinary tradition that the restaurant celebrates each year.
Due to popular demand and limited seating in the private dining room, GW Fins will host two Feast of the Seven Fishes dinners on Dec. 11 and 12 this year.
This multi-course dinner will be comprised of at least seven different varieties of seafood, combining individually plated courses with dishes that will be served family style, a deviation from GW Fins’ general fashion. “Having the dishes served family style and placed on the table for everyone to enjoy fits the tradition of this dinner, and it turns a restaurant dining experience into a celebration,” said Executive Chef Michael Nelson.
Some of the dishes that will be showcased during this spectacular evening include:
- Raw Oyster Mignonette, Balsamic Pearls, Micro Greens
- Whitefish Crudo
- Swordfish Bolognese
- Linguine with Lemon Clam Sauce
As well as Lemon Tiramisu, a twist the iconic Italian dessert.
The cost for this lavish feast and accompanying wine is $125, exclusive of tax and gratuity. The Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner will be held in GW Fins’ Private Dining Room and therefore seating will be limited.
Reservations are required and can be made by calling GW Fins at (504) 581-3467 or at gwfins.com/reservations.
