NEW ORLEANS (press release) – According to the minds behind GW Fins, the Dubai Chocolate Bar craze is sweeping the nation. GW Fins’ Executive Chef Michael Nelson decided to join the craze and create a Dubai Chocolate King Cake.
This dessert is layered with fabulous flavors, starting with an almond cake on the bottom; then filled with toasted, shredded filo dough and pistachios; and topped with a cinnamon sugar brioche. The cake is dipped in dark chocolate and drizzled with a pistachio crumble and chocolate chips, and is decorated with chocolate sauce, pistachio sauce and crème anglaise, as well as a whipped ricotta mousse.
GW Fins’ Dubai Chocolate King Cake will be on the restaurant’s dessert menu through Mardi Gras.
