NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Garden District Book Shop will host a celebratory happy hour for the new book “Bohemian Soul: The Vanishing Interiors of New Orleans” on May 9. The book is a celebration of the unique decorative style of New Orleans, featuring the resplendent rooms of seventeen decadent residences rich with patina, family heirlooms, and history.
The evening will begin at 5 p.m., feature select happy hour offerings and a drink special inspired by the book will also be available. Author Valorie Hart and photographer Sara Essex Bradley will both be in attendance to mingle with guests at the book shop’s new bar and sign copies of their book.
Entry to the event is free and open to the public but the shop encourages interested parties to RSVP to ensure entry and reserve a copy of the book on Eventbrite as space is limited. Additional copies will be available to purchase.
