The Preservation Resource Center invited the public to enjoy their 33rd annual Holiday Home Tour on December 13 and 14 in the Garden District. The patron party on Friday night was quite the holiday gala. Held at the fabulous home of Mrs. Cynthia L. Ashman, the night glimmered with all the splendor of the season. Cocktails and creations by BACCO helped everyone make merry.
The setting gave guests a taste of the treats in store for them. The seven houses on the 2008 tour were wonderful specimens. Visits were paid to the Honorable and Mrs. Olivier Brochenin; Sally and Richard Edrington; Stephen B. Murray Jr.; Julia Reed and John Pearce; Camilo Salas and Jennifer Fallon; Janet and Leonard Tallerine; and Leland vanDeventer and Tommy Barzilla. In addition to the beautiful furnishings and appointments of these houses, each venue also had live music.
Patron party co-chairs were Virginia Barba and Allison Steinfeld, and event co-chairs were Lara Jensen and Kathleen Robert. Funds raised at the Holiday Home Tour events go to the Preservation Resource Center and are used for its projects: Operation Comeback, Rebuilding Together, the magazine Preservation in Print, as well as advocacy for the neighborhoods of New Orleans and education for the people who live in them.
