Head to the Contemporary Arts Center Aug. 5

NEW ORLEANS (press release) – The Contemporary Arts Center was one of the first artistic spaces to open in what is now the New Orleans Arts District. For nearly 50 years the CAC has remained an artistic anchor in the Warehouse District. Fidelity Bank White Linen Night celebrates the thriving Arts District with its array of galleries, museums, restaurants, and more, and allows arts enthusiasts to enjoy the artistic riches of our city. That night, the CAC presents the opening of our Gulf South Open Call, featuring performance artist activations in the galleries, celebrates our visual and performing artists-in-residence, and celebrates our incredible staff with an exhibition of their own work. Finally, end your night at the official afterparty in the CAC warehouse: White Linen Night After Dark. Galleries open from 6 p.m. – 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug 5. Artist performances in gallery spaces at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.. Official afterparty from 9:30 p.m. – 12:30 a.m.
