Plaquemines Parish Opens New Medical Center
On its opening day, the new Plaquemines Medical Center (PlaqueminesMedicalCenter.com) saw 12 patients within the first few hours of operation. The cutting-edge facility on Highway 23 in Port Sulphur features a heliport, CAT scan machine and digital X-ray machine and is home to a full service pharmacy and lab, plus offers physical therapy and eye and hearing exams. To serve members of the oil and gas industry, the center also has a decontamination unit.
New Procedure for Chronic Back, Hip and Knee Pain
Ochsner Baptist now provides a new, non-invasive outpatient option for patients with chronic back, hip or knee pain called COOLIEF Cooled Radiofrequency Treatment.
