In 1950, Walt Disney created a story that would make most children yearn for that fairytale moment. The “Cinderella moment” is known by many as that instant a woman finds her perfect wedding dress. Wedding gown designer Heidi Elnora is determined to bring the “Cinderella moment” to every bride.
The Bravo’s “Project Runway” alum is relatively new to the wedding dress game, but growing in popularity with her new TLC cable network show “Bride by Design,“ Elnora brings a new concept to the designer arena with her “Build-A-Bride” collection. This collection allows brides to experience the process of creating her dress from scratch, but without the custom cost. Elnora has put together 15 different silhouettes and 25 add-on pieces. The pieces come in six fabrications allowing for the options and combinations to be limitless.
For today’s “Designer of the Week,” we wanted to combine some of our favorites from the “Build-A-Bride” collection and show the versatility a bride can have while creating her very own look.
Ollie Alice – Vintage and sweet, this tea-length dress features a natural waist, sweetheart neckline, and a full gathered skirt with pockets.
(lace bodice)
Here it's paired with the lace bodice. We also would style it with the Katie Grace Cover Up + Ruched Belt to give the lace a boost.
Florence Kennedy – Polished and chic, this sheath dress features a scoop neck and is fitted to just below the knee.
We have paired it with the Catherine 3/4 sleeve cover up and the rhinestone belt + pretty peplum.
Ella Grace – Romantic and soft, this A-line gown features a sweetheart neckline, a natural waist, and a flowing organza skirt with pockets.
We love the Ella Grace paired with lace bodice + Priscilla peplum.
Ruthy Gail – Pretty and romantic, this A-line gown features a sweetheart neckline, a natural waist, an organza skirt with a peplum, and a sweep train.
We think the Ruthy Gail matches perfectly with a flutter sleeve.
With "Build-A-Bride," the bride has an endless amount of options to create her very own, one of a kind dream dress. Mix and match tops and silhouettes to find just the right fit and feeling that you want to emanate for your big day. It will be your fairytale moment in a Cinderella dress just for you.
