Helpful Harmonizing

The New Orleans Center for Creative Arts Institute, House of Blues, and the family of Daniel Price hosted the Home for the Holidays fundraiser at the House of Blues on Friday, December 23.  

The evening began with a patron party that included a silent auction, buffet dinner, an open bar, and entertainment by the NOCCA Jazz Ensemble and Irma Thomas.

The main event followed, and the “Home for the Holidays” concert featured a plethora of musical performances by John Boutte, Kermit Ruffins and the Barbecue Swingers, Rebirth Brass Band, Jonathan Bastiste, Shamarr Allen and the Underdawgs with Paul Sanchez, Chuck Perkins and Friends, Herlin Riley, Amanda Shaw, Rockin Dopsie, The Eric Lindell Band, Stanton Moore and Anders Osborne with Johnny Sansone, James Andrews and Trombone Shorty with Orleans Avenue.

The Daniel Price Memorial Fund for Aspiring Artists was created in honor of artist and NOCCA alumnus Daniel Price in order to assist NOCCA students in obtaining a higher education in fine arts.
