In 25 years, Project Lazarus has helped more than 1,000 men and women with HIV/AIDS by providing a dignified and holistic approach to service and life.

To help raise funds and awareness for the cause, the Project Lazarus Annual Dinner was held at the Sheraton New Orleans Hotel on June 10. In addition to cocktails and dinner, the evening also featured an award presentation: Jim Mounger and Sister Ann Roddy were honored as the 2010 Guardian Angels for their support and volunteer work.

The organization, which works in conjunction with other AIDS service agencies, is able to reach out to many, helping, guiding and instructing them back to independent living with optimum health in treatment.
