Historic Walking Tours

For the thrill-seeking local hoping to send a shiver down their spine, or for the visitor looking for their first taste of New Orleans’ haunted history, there is no better activity than walking tours — and no one does it better than French Quarter Phantoms.

Owner Cindi Richardson and Tour Manager Luke Siddall know that any tour guide can recite a generic script, which is why they have built a team of Master Storytellers who blend their knowledge of lore and history to make their stories come alive.

“We want people to love New Orleans and come back again,” Richardson said. “One of my favorite guest reviews said we were ‘the strangest bunch of real historians you will ever have the pleasure of spending time with,’ and I think that’s a perfect way to describe us.”

Whether embarking on the classic Ghost & Vampire Tour or visiting Marie Laveau’s grave on the Cemetery Tour, guests are encouraged to interact and ask their guides questions — Richardson said that with degrees in history, literature, theater and more, her guides love showing off their knowledge.

French Quarter Phantoms offers an easy, convenient check-in process for guests — with BOGO Hurricane drinks for adults — and has been ranked one of the Top Ten Ghost Tours in the World by TripAdvisor. Tours are available every night, all year.
