Sally Asher is an author, historian, and photographer. In this podcast, Sally talks about her latest book, Stories from the St. Louis Cemeteries of New Orleans. Asher began her research into New Orleans cemeteries following a lecture engagement on a cruise ship. During the lecture about New Orleans, she realized that her audience was more interested in cemeteries than any other topic. Once Asher began her research, she learned how difficult finding specific people in cemeteries can be, in part because cemeteries often have no street signs as points of reference. In this interview, Asher recounts how she discovered a fascinating story about a skydiver who is buried in St. Louis No. 2 cemetery.
