Hogs For The Cause Announces 2020 Music Lineup

Hogs For The Cause Announces 2020 Music LineupNEW ORLEANS (press release) – Hogs for the Cause announced its initial music lineup for its 12th annual fundraising event on March 27-28. The headliners for the 2020 event at the UNO Lakefront Arena fields include Old Crow Medicine Show, a multi-Grammy award-winning, Americana string band best known for “Wagon Wheel,” a Bob Dylan composition front man Ketch Secor helped embellish; as well as pedal steel virtuoso Robert Randolph (Robert Randolph & The Family Band Grammy Award nominee for Best Contemporary Blues Album) featuring The Soul Rebels and Brandon ‘Taz’ Niederauer. Other notable artists include Yola, a singer-songwriter nominated for four 2020 Grammy Awards including Best New Artist, Best American Roots Performance, Best American Roots Song, and Best Americana Album; Christone ‘Kingfish’ Ingram, a versatile blues prodigy who has shared the stage with legend Buddy Guy and is also nominated for a Grammy Award this year Best Traditional Blues Album; and Paul Cauthen, an acclaimed Texas-based, roots rock songwriter; and many more. Over 20 artists will appear at this year’s festival, with more to be announced in the new year. The bands will play alongside nearly 90 barbecue teams serving mouth-watering BBQ and vying for title of Grand Champion.

“We began working on this lineup before Hogs 2019 ended last year, and we are beyond excited to announce it. With so many Grammy award-winning and nominated artists on our stages, this is undoubtably the most acclaimed Hogs lineup yet,” said Becker Hall, co-founder and chief executive officer of Hogs for the Cause. “This year we can’t wait to host crowds from across the country and show them what Hogs is all about.”

“Each year our event grows, bringing in more people and more fundraising teams, which in turn increases the grant money we are able to disperse,” said Rene Louapre, co-founder and chief operating officer. “When this started 12 years ago, we never dreamt we would help over 1000 families in need. It is a testament to the real generosity of our teams and attendees. We cannot thank them enough.”
