Becker Hall is Co-founder and Executive Director of Hogs For The Cause. According to Hall, “This is the eighth year for Hogs For The Cause.” While everyone knows this popular fundraising event as Hogs For The Cause, the official name is The Ben Sarrat, Jr. Cook-off. Ben Sarrat, the son of a local sous chef, was afflicted with pediatric brain cancer. Proceeds from the fundraiser in Ben’s honor help families of children who suffer from this devastating disease. To date, the organization has given grants to over 350 families in need. This year’s event in New Orleans City Park will be on Friday, April 1 and Saturday, April 2, 2016.
