NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Holiday camps are back at Audubon Zoo. These camps offer kids ages four to ten years old up-close animal encounters, hands-on science, animal-themed movement activities, and nature art projects. Campers will love to play, explore, and protect nature at the Zoo’s holiday camps.
“The Zoo is the perfect place for kids to go wild this holiday season,” said Audubon Nature Institute’s Director of Education Llewellyn Everage. “We can’t wait to explore nature together at our seasonally themed holiday camps. Our camps offer hands-on experiences that connect campers with wildlife and the actions we can take to do world of good for nature.”
Holiday camps include:
- Thanksgiving Camp (November 22-24)
- Winter Camp (December 27-31)
- Mardi Gras Camp (March 2-4)
Each camp runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration includes every day of each respective holiday camp. No single day registrations are available. Visit audubonnatureinstitute.org/holiday-camps to register today!
The camp experience will look a little different from previous years as Audubon implements new policies to provide the highest quality and safest camp experience possible. Audubon will be offering a smaller format and more personalized camp experience by limiting the number of campers each week.
