With New Orleans Pride Weekend this month, the Kimpton Hotel Fontenot‘s elegant and vibrant cocktail bar at its heart, Peacock Room, will be donating a portion of the proceeds from sales of its popular Flock To Me cocktail throughout the month of June to benefit The Trevor Project. Flock To Me is made with Cathead Vodka, melon, falernum, lemon, and butterfly pea flower.
Peacock Room also has some great additions to the cocktail menu, like the Copper Canvas – which is timely with World Gin Day approaching on June 11 – made with Malfy Blood Orange Gin, Grand Marnier, Pimm’s #1, cucumber and sparkling wine.
The hotel continues to welcome stellar music performances in the intimate space including Da Lovebirds, led by contemporary jazz singer and “the songbird of New Orleans” Robin Barnes, on Thursdays from 8-10 p.m.; Rachel Murray on Wednesdays from 7-9 p.m.; Jazz Brunch with trumpeter Jelani Bauman on Sundays from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m., and Ruth Marie & Mark Monistere on Sundays from 7-9 p.m.
