The “Cocktails and Cuisine: 2012 Kitchen Tour Kick-Off Party” took place on Thursday, March 22, at the New Orleans Hyatt Regency Hotel Empire Ballroom.

Chef Tenny Flynn of G.W. Fins Seafood Restaurant thrilled guests with his tuna tartare cooking demonstration. A sushi bar, a Yogurtland station and desserts by Rommel’s Catering were also available to appease attendants’ appetites, and Thibodeaux Florists created fanciful floral arrangements. Specialty cocktails were provided by Old New Orleans Rum and The District New Orleans, and a full bar was supplied by Lulu B. Wine, Southern Eagle and City Wholesale.

A live auction featured many luxurious items, such as a catered party for 20 with food by Taceaux Loceaux, desserts by Boozy Bundts, a gift card to the Party Basket, invitations by Lauren Alsop Custom Paper Goods and drinks by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and Lulu B. Wine. There was also a silent auction with over 100 items to bid on, including paintings, private parties and cooking lessons.

The women that make up the Junior League New Orleans promote and dedicate themselves to volunteering, developing the potential of women and improving communities.
