Hail to Our Oyster Heroes!
Danos recently completed a project requiring the installation of a reef structure into the marsh of Golden Meadow and nearby Catfish Lake (to prevent erosion). The infrastructure was designed and fabricated through 3D printing technology by partner Natrx. Forty-five modules were strategically installed, enabling protection for the 2020 fall oyster spats being seeded into barriers, and allowing an expected 1 million pounds of oysters and sediment to accrue over the next three years.
