Taste America supports local chefs and restaurants directly while also driving philanthropic support towards industry-wide relief. In order to best support the recovery efforts of our featured chefs and restaurant teams in New Orleans following Hurricane Ida, 100% of each ticket purchase goes directly to the participating local restaurants.

The James Beard Foundation created the Open for Good campaign in response to the severe crisis facing the restaurant industry and the entire ecosystem which the industry supports—the farmers, producers, distributors, local communities, and others. The campaign is committed to helping independent restaurants survive the pandemic, rebuild better, and thrive for the long term. New Orleans is one of 26 total cities nationwide taking part in the Open for Good campaign.

Tickets to the event are sold as pairs: a table for two ($300), a table for four ($600), or a table for six ($900), and can be purchased at JamesBeard/TasteAmerica. Both indoor and outdoor seating is available. The intimate gathering will follow all safety regulations being enforced by local governance at the time of the event. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID-19 test within 72 hours are required to attend.
