NEW ORLEANS (press release) – New Orleans’ Cultural Funhouse, JAMNOLA, announces Anjelika “Jelly” Joseph as its first Music Ambassador.
Jelly is a Grammy nominated singer/songwriter whose musical talents have taken her far beyond her hometown of New Orleans. She launched her solo artist career last year and also collaborates with Galactic, Big Freedia and Tank and the Bangas.
As the JAMNOLA Music Ambassador, Jelly will lend her voice to several of JAMNOLA’s exhibits to provide more cultural context and backstory, participate in social media and influencer campaigns and create quarterly music playlists for the cultural funhouse. She will also be a guest storyteller at JAMNOLA that will drop in from time to time to help conduct tours. “I am truly honored to be the new Music Ambassador for JAMNOLA,” says Jelly, “I’m so excited to bridge the gap between the past and present vibrant music culture of the city.”
“Jelly is the perfect music ambassador for us,” explains JAMNOLA Founder Jonny Liss. “She embodies a new generation of New Orleans music and is a true talent with an incredible personality. She is our first appointed ambassador representing music and we plan to add relevant art and joy ambassadors to our team in the future.”
To celebrate Jelly’s new role, JAMNOLA is offering locals 50% off tours for the rest of 2023. To take advantage of this promotion Louisiana locals need to purchase the locals ticket type on the website starting November 14th and be able to show proof of Louisiana residence at check in. This ticket type is only good for those that can provide proof of Louisiana residence and cannot be combined with any other promotions or be retro-actively applied.
