The New Orleans Jewish Community Center (JCC) asked patrons to wear their most comfortable pajamas, sit back in their favorite chairs and indulge in an evening of star-studded entertainment from locally and internationally renowned performers for its annual Center Celebration, “JCC’s Big Night In,” on Saturday, November 14.
New Orleanian, Broadway star and actor Bryan Batt hosted a dynamic assemblage of talent, including Tony-nominated Anika Larsen, Grammy-nominated Tarriona “Tank” Ball, Cantor Azi Schwartz of Park Avenue Synagogue and Dganit Daddo of Tel Aviv, Israel. Additional performances included Alix Paige, Jennifer Theriot, Max and Charlie Carver, Tom McGovern, Tank and the Bangas (Tank Ball with Danny Abel), James Andrews and Leslie Castay with pianist Alex Rybeck. NOCCA student and comedian Audrey Gold hosted an interview with JCC members, and JCC Jane (Puppeteer Alix Paige) hosted an interview with JCC Nursery School students.
Event Co-Chairs were Rebecca Friedman, Robyn Nowak and Debbie Schlackman. The presenting sponsor was the Oscar J. Tolmas Charitable Trust, Vince Giardina and Lisa Romano, trustees.
