NEW ORLEANS (press release) – This week, Jimmy John’s and football legend and longtime Jimmy John’s franchisee Drew Brees will celebrate the launch of the Brees #9 with a special meet and greet with youth members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Louisiana, where he will teach them how to make his signature sandwich.
Following the meet and greet, the Jimmy John’s Foundation will present a $250,000 grant to Brees Dream Foundation and a $150,000 grant to Boys & Girls Clubs of America as part of the foundation’s ongoing effort to invest in the lives of local youth. Funds granted to Brees Dream Foundation will improve the quality of life for cancer patients, and provide care, education and opportunities for children and families in need. Since becoming a national partner of Boys & Girls Clubs of America’s Workforce Readiness initiative in 2021, Jimmy John’s has donated nearly $1 million to date—including its most recent contribution.
For the first time ever, fans can order The Brees #9, Drew’s personal Jimmy John’s go-to order, and support causes that uplift kids across the country. One dollar from every The Brees #9 sold and $0.25 from each Italian Night Club sold between Au. 4-31 will be donated to the Jimmy John’s Foundation, where funds will be granted to Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Brees Dream Foundation.
The Brees #9 is a custom version of the Italian Night Club, salami, capocollo and smoked ham, topped with mayo, lettuce, onions, oil & vinegar and oregano-basil made just the way Drew orders it: #9 with no cheese, add Jimmy Peppers.
