NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Join Justin Devillier for a book signing and light bites and drinks at NOCHI to celebrate the release of his first cookbook, “The New Orleans Kitchen: Classic Recipes and Modern Techniques for an Unrivaled Cuisine” (Lorena Jones Books; $40.00; Hardcover; On-sale Oct. 29).
In the collection of 120 recipes and gorgeous, full-color photography by Denny Culbert, Devillier details the fundamentals of the New Orleans cooking canon – from proper roux-making to time-honored recipes, such as Duck and Andouille Gumbo, Abita Root Beer-Braised Short Ribs, and even La Petite Grocery’s famous Blue Crab Beignets.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase on-site via Octavia Books.
