Junior’s On Harrison Offering Hogstar Sunday Supper Platter to Cheer on the Saints

UnknownNEW ORLEANS (press release) – Junior’s on Harrison will host a Hogstar BBQ Drive-Thru with all proceeds going to Hogs for the Cause on Sun., Sept. 27 from 3 – 6 p.m. This evening is the first night home game for the New Orleans Saints, playing against the Green Bay Packers. Nine Hogs for the Cause teams, and Robert Fresh Market, are preparing platters of food available for drive-thru pick up prior to kick-off. Pre-sale orders for platters are available through Sun. Sept. 20 for pick up on Sept. 27. Only 200 pre-sale orders will be available.

“This fundraiser is the perfect example of our new community fundraising platform, where anyone, anywhere can support families battling pediatric brain cancer,” said Rene Louapre co-founder of Hogs for the Cause. “These teams are coming together to raise important funds, but at the same time providing something great for people in our community—a delicious meal to enjoy while watching a Saint’s game at home with family and friends.”

The Sunday Supper platters come in two sizes—a couple portion will feed two to three people for $49.99 and a family portion will be available for four to six people for $99.99. Blue Oak BBQ is serving pulled pork, Fleur de Que is providing smoked chicken wings, Mr. Pigglesworth is offering pork belly bites, Deswine Intervention is serving smoked sausage on the platter, Frey is offering smoked turkey, Capt. Porkenheimer is providing pulled pork mac and cheese, March of the Pigs is serving coleslaw and cornbread, The Boar’s Nest is offering brisket baked beans, Deuce Pigalow and Covey Rise Farms are providing seasonal veggies, and Robert Fresh Market is including a box of cookies. A party beverage package will also be available for $40 and will include a six pack of local craft beer from Urban South and Port Orleans, a 32 oz bottle of Marsh House X El Guapo Mojito, and a bottle of Boucaner wine.
