The honeymoon is a time for a newly married couple to bask in their newly wedded bliss and celebrate the recent nuptials by taking off on a vacation. Whether a couple leaves right after the wedding or puts their honeymoon plans on hold for a few weeks, it’s nice to have this time to really decompress after all of the wedding hoopla.
The Wedding Report Quarterly, a research company that tracks and forecasts data for the wedding industry, reports that the biggest trend for honeymoon vacations is an all-inclusive resort. With these resorts, newlyweds don’t have to worry about paying the check after every meal, planning a schedule or other stressors that arise during a vacation. While an all-inclusive resort can be fabulous with the frozen drinks and time in the sand, it may not be the first choice for all couples. The more adventuresome types relaxes not by chilling out with a pina colada in a lounge chair, but rather by ziplining in Costa Rica or taking off on an African safari.
In the latest Winter/Spring 2015 issue of New Orleans Bride Magazine, globe trotting travel writer extraordinaire Becca Hensley describes adventure-packed honeymoons for thrill-seeking couples to create memories and excitement to last a lifetime.
