Just over one year ago, this extraordinary team of professionals led by Aviation Director Kevin Dolliole accomplished an historic feat with the opening of Louis Armstrong International Airport’s new $1 billion terminal. The diverse leadership team, which features experts with years of experience in their fields, was instrumental in delivering the terminal to New Orleans through expertise in planning and construction, operations, maintenance, customer service, legal affairs, commercial development, business, finance, disadvantaged business services, and marketing and communications.
Today, this team leads MSY into a new era. They have effectively responded to the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, keeping passengers and employees safe as they travel through the efficient and vastly improved terminal facilities. The new facility replaces a decades-old terminal and features amenities that travelers have come to expect, such as a consolidated checkpoint, better concessions with local shops and restaurants, free, fast Wi-Fi, and other modern conveniences. The team successfully completed the monumental transition of full airport operations overnight, a nearly unprecedented event.
“Not many airport staffs get an opportunity like this—relocating an entire airport terminal from one facility to another,” said Dolliole. “It was extremely complex, and we had the right team in place. Each person brings a unique skillset to the table, and I’m very proud that this team leads our Airport.”
