Chef Huy Pham, a first-generation Vietnamese American who fell in love with Japanese cuisine, opened Yakuza House in 2021, his first solo venture. Putting real meaning behind the “labor” of this labor of love, Chef Pham turned a 500-square-foot restaurant into an instant success, building a passion into a grassroots success story by spending days in the restaurant and nights sleeping above it. With the help of his wife, fostering a strong following online, Chef Pham was able to quickly expand, opening their Metairie location in October 2022.
