The Junior League of New Orleans held its Kitchen Tour 2008, which focused on the recovery of the city in three rebuilding neighborhoods. Preceding the tour, which occurred on April 19, the Junior League hosted a patron party at Emeril’s Delmonico restaurant on April 17. Lara Jenson, Esq. served as chair.
With donated libations from Glazer’s, the party also featured a live auction, showcasing a master bathroom vanity from Jackson Cabinetry, a $1,000 gift certificate from Norwalk Furniture & Design, a progressive dinner for four from Dickie Brennan & Co., Lee Michaels jewelry and many other luxurious items.
The kitchen tour, which was a self-guided tour of 11 houses in the neighborhoods of Metairie Club Gardens and Bellaire, Fairway and Fontainebleau Drives, earned revenue for the JLNO’s focus area of children’s education.
Those who graciously welcomed guests into their fabulous kitchens included: Lisa and Trip Ludwig; Beth and Keith Depass; Henrietta and Terence Hall; Elizabeth and Arthur Seaver; Trudy and Timothy Hurley; Julia and Wilton Bland; Katherine and Brian Quirk; Nomita and Shammi Gupta; Carol and John Roberts; Curtis Herring; and Robin English and Tim Dilligan.
