A veteran of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce for nearly ten years, Ashley Hilsman began her career as Events Director and has risen to become Chief Operating Officer. A resounding advocate for small businesses in the Greater New Orleans area, which account for the backbone of the local economy and 92% of the Chamber’s members, Ashley has devoted herself to being a voice for the business community through advocacy and outreach that stretches from New Orleans to Baton Rouge and Washington, D.C. As part of a collaborative regional effort, Ashley is guiding a 2025 survey on permitting and licensing in the New Orleans area to identify challenges to business entry and growth, working alongside local partners committed to improving the environment for business. When she’s not championing the growth of New Orleans businesses, Ashley can be found soaking in the city’s unique spirit with her family—husband Win, daughter Elizabeth, and dachshunds Folly and Myrtle—in Central City.
