Lighthouse Louisiana is a nonprofit serving New Orleans and Baton Rouge, led by Dee Budgewater and Jenice Heck, who are dedicated to empowering people with disabilities.
Dee, who spent 30 years in public service, became CEO in 2022 and has transformed the 110-year-old agency with a fiscally responsible business model.
Jenice, blind since birth and a licensed Occupational Therapist, founded the Vision Rehabilitation Department to provide training and education for all ages. As COO, she oversees operations and services.
Together, these dynamic leaders share a deep commitment to giving people with disabilities the tools they need to succeed.
