From gilded mansions to modern masterpieces, Diane Killeen and Diane Killeen Painting Studios craft and restore surfaces that command attention, celebrate history, and elevate every space with timeless artistry.
Born and raised in New Orleans, Diane’s earliest memory is being brought to visit the historic Milton H. Latter Memorial Library. Instead of reading, she was enraptured by the twin parlor ceilings, French Baroque paintings, decorative plaster molding with gold leaf accents, and hand-painted canvas murals. It’s clear from an early age, her path was set to become a designer of grand spaces.
Most recently, Diane Killeen Painting Studios completed work on one of their most extravagant projects yet, painting and designing the main dining areas for the Coral Sands Resort in the Bahamas. Utilizing every skill set she has developed over an illustrious career, Diane and her team worked for two months on both an indoor and outdoor space, choosing a design palette of contrasts with reds and pinks outside to complement the interior green.
“The whole project was a fantastic experience,” says Diane. “It was truly the pièce de resistance of a twenty-year career, a real mic drop moment.”
An expert in the restoration and preservation of historic spaces, Diane loves collaborating with architects, designers, and homeowners to find a vision for a project as unique as the space itself, evoking a feeling not dissimilar to that of a young girl who visited a library years ago.
