A proud child of Central City, Rochelle Wilcox has devoted the last two decades of her life to educating, advocating, uplifting, and caring for her community through the seismic impact of the Wilcox Academy. With learning centers spread out across New Orleans, one in New Orleans East and the other in the Seventh Ward, Rochelle is proud to open her third Center mere blocks from the neighborhood where she grew up; an enrichment initiative whose impact reaches into the hearts and homes of families across the city.
Wilcox Academy is more than an early educational center; it is a hub for emotional and civic support, with teachers nurturing children and Success Coordinators supporting entire families. By offering resources to our community’s most vulnerable population, including
take-home meals, housing, and medical resources, Rochelle Wilcox is giving back the same love and support she was given from a young age, from which lasting happiness can bloom.
