Land, Air and Sea

Most people are familiar with the traditional ways couple’s employ to get to their wedding and also those classic “getaway” options, such as a horse and carriage or elegant vintage car. But some couple’s want to add a little extra whimsy, fun, romance or adventure. In the new Summer/Autumn 2015 issue of New Orleans Bride Magazine, correspondent Phil McCausland put his journalist skills to work uncovering the most fun, whimsical and over-the-top transportation options in New Orleans. From gondolas and hot air balloons to yachts and helicopters, plus pedicabs and — of course — the classic horse and carriage, there’s something for every couple. For the June installment of my monthly WWLTV New Orleans Bride Magazine segment, Sally Ann Roberts and I chatted about a few fun options. View the segment below, then click here to read McCausland’s story.

New Orleans Bride Magazine is partnering with Brides Against Breast Cancer, a non-profit organization that contributes to programs for cancer patients and their families, for its National Tour of Gowns Charity Bridal Event and Trunk Sale on June 21 at the Royal Sonesta Hotel. Enjoy refreshments, entertainment, giveaways and find your dream wedding gown while supporting a worthy cause. Visit bridesagainstbreastcancer.org for tickets and information.
