Our favorite furry friends have been part of wedding celebrations for many years now – acting as ring bearers, best men and even flower girls. It’s like inviting another part of your family to celebrate with you. But now, couples can give back to pets that haven’t found their forever families.

For many years, using a wedding to give back to the community has become a popular practice amongst couples.

While there are many different reasons a couple could opt for charitable donations over a more “traditional” registry, the Louisiana SPCA is making it easier than ever, whatever the reason, to help them improve the lives of New Orleans animals.

As wedding season gains momentum, the LaSPCA has launched Ways to Give: Celebration of Love. Their Ways to Give campaign invites couples to add shelter dogs and cats to their gift list as they say, “I do.”

When couples add the SPCA to their registries or in replacement of their registries, guests and the couple will help fill the bellies and care for shelter animals in need. Donations go directly to food, medical care, shelter advancements and so much more.

For over 130 years, the LaSPCA is a nonprofit that is responsible for helping over 70,000 homeless animals, with what seems like daily reminders that shelters are full and help is needed.

Adding this simple addition in some way to your Big Day can go on to make a difference in multiple animals lives.
