NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Le Petit Theatre is celebrating the start of our 103rd season with opener Noises Off. Called “the funniest farce ever written,” Noises Off presents a manic menagerie of itinerant actors rehearsing a flop called Nothing’s On. Doors slamming, on and offstage intrigue, and an errant sardine all figure in the plot of this hilarious and classically comic play.
Performance dates of Noises Off are October 4-20, 2019 at Le Petit Theatre, 616 St. Peter St. New Orleans, LA 70116. Showtimes are Thursday-Saturday at 7:30p and Sundays at 3p. Subscriptions and single tickets are available weekdays from 12 – 5 pm at the Box Office (504) 522-2081 or online anytime at www.lepetittheatre.com.
The cast includes Leslie Castay as top-billed star Dotty Otley; Ian Hoch as the temperamental director Lloyd Dallas; Jonathan Drury as jealous leading man Garry Lejeune; Annie Gaia as inexperienced actress Brooke Ashton; Curtis Billings as dim-witted actor Frederick Fellowes; Alix Paige as cheerful yet two-faced actress Belinda Blair; Cat Wilkinson as emotional assistant stage manager Poppy Norton-Taylor; Dominic Giardina as the easily flustered stage manager Tim Allgood; and Michael Martin as elderly pro Selsdon Mowbray.
Directed by Blake Coheley, the creative team for Noises Off includes Michael Schweikardt (Scenic Designer), Joshua Courtney (Lighting Designer), Jamie Doyle (Sound Design), Nathan Norris (Technical Director), Mad Props – Destany Gorham (Props Design), Michelle Kelleher (Stage Manager), Aisha Stewart (Assistant Stage Manager) Colleen Ryan (Master Electrician), and Shannon Kinsella (Wardobe Coordinator).
