NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Since founded in 2017, the New Orleans chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier International (LDEI) – a non-profit international women’s culinary organization – has created a supportive culture in the Crescent City to achieve excellence in the food, fine beverage, and hospitality professions. In celebration of two years, LDEI New Orleans will host their annual soiree/fundraiser which will benefit New Orleans’ women in hospitality and culinary arts.
Priced at $40 per person, two for $75, tickets to the event will include cocktails and bites from member chefs and restaurants including Arnaud’s, Bywater Bakery, Saba, City Greens, Gracious Bakery, Bywater Bakery, Link Restaurant Group, Piece of Meat and others. Attendees can also enjoy a silent auction and live entertainment by jazz singer Meryl Zimmerman and guitarist Eric Merchant. Tickets for the event can be purchased at Eventbrite. Silent auction items will include dining certificates for top Nola restaurants, overnight staycations in Covington and Ocean Springs and much more.
The fundraiser will take place on Thursday, Nov. 7 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Gumbo Garden – a brand-new outdoor exhibit and event space at the Southern Food & Beverage Museum (SoFAB), 1504 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. in New Orleans.
