The Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation held it’s annual outdoor festival for the coast.

The weekend of June 4 was filled with music, parties, food, races and more – all to “Save Our Lake” and “Save Our Coast.” The 21st Annual Back to the Beach Festival took place in Laketown that Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The Festival featured music from Rockin’ Dopsie Jr. & The Zydeco Twisters, Bucktown All-Stars, ReBirth Brass Band, Benjy Davis Project, Contraflow and many more. Fundraising events also included the 6th Annual Back to the Beach Run/Walk on Friday and the 2nd Annual Bikes at the Beach ride on Saturday. The 8th Annual Back to the Beach Car Show took place on Sunday and featured custom cars, racecars, antiques and more.

A patron party and silent auction was held Saturday, June 26 at Two Lakeway Mezzanine from 7 to 10 p.m. The “black and gold attire” party featured dinner by New Orleans Marriott Metairie at Lakeway and Music by Bobby Cure and the Summertime Blues.
