Light My Fire

Flickering gas lanterns, exposed brick walls and an open courtyard are as chic and romantic as it gets when it comes to the elements of an engagement party.  When wedding and event planner Elyse Skansi got engaged to Jack Jennings, she used her expertise to create a quentissential New Orleans fête. Bevelo Gas Lantern Museum came alive with glittering candles and white florals by Kim Starr Wise.
Guests were greeted by a table with three champagne bottles for signing (and for the couple to enjoy while reading the messages on their wedding day). Wine barrels served as tables and pews topped with toss pillows offered a place for guests to rest and relax. Lemon King Cake, along with salted caramel and blueberry pancake doberge by Debbie Does Doberge, topped off a sweet evening in the French Quarter.
