This time last week, the world was shocked to find singer Lana Del Rey had married her swamp boat guide and Louisiana native Jeremy Dufrene. The two were married in Des Allemandes, in the same bayou where Dufrene hosts his tours and the two met years ago.
When learning of the two tying the knot, and the only photos clearly being paparazzi drone photos, what we were most surprised about was the bride’s choice of gown.
In photos shared by DailyMail.com, the “Summertime Sadness” singer wore a simple, yet elegant white gown with a fitted bodice, large skirt and scoop neckline. In an interview with E!News, the designer Macye Wysner said the gown was a custom-made CINQ gown similar to their style “The River.”
Though the dress was gorgeous and fits for a bayou wedding, we believe many – including ourselves – were expecting something more boho or leaning into her recent ‘60s Mod style.
We asked a few local bridal boutiques to share a few gowns they think would have been perfectly Lana-coded.
