Local Businesses Partner with a Purpose for Women’s History Month

NEW ORLEANS (press release) –  Operation Restoration and JusTini’s, two local, women-led businesses, announced a partnership with a purpose, taking place in honor of Women’s History Month.

Beginning on March 7, Operation Restoration and JusTini’s have come together to collect diaper and feminine hygiene product donations for women and families in need. As a thank-you, JusTini’s will offer one free signature cocktail to patrons who donate one of these items. Other eligible donated items include toiletries, such as soap, shampoo, toothbrushes, toothpaste and lotion. All items will be donated to Operation Restoration, a nonprofit that supports women and girls impacted by incarceration. Items will then be stored and made available for women in need at The Closet, OR’s storefront location that provides clothing and hygiene products to women for free.

Diapers, feminine hygiene products and other eligible items can be dropped off or brought to the following locations:

  • JusTini’s (3162 Dauphine St.)
  • Operation Restoration (1450 Poydras St., Suite 2260)
  • The Closet (3400 S. Claiborne Ave., Suite E)

In exchange for each donated item, patrons will receive a free drink coupon, which must be presented to the server at checkout. Donations will be accepted and free drink coupons will remain valid through Sunday, March 30.

Since 2016, OR has supported women and girls impacted by incarceration to recognize their full potential, restore their lives and discover new possibilities.

“For almost a decade, Operation Restoration has served as a beacon of light for hundreds of criminal legal system-impacted women and girls,” said Syrita Steib, founder, president and CEO of Operation Restoration. “Our primary focus has always been ensuring that the women and girls we serve have what they need to thrive. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with a local, woman-owned business like JusTini’s to empower even more women in our community, one essential item at a time.”

JusTini’s opened its doors in 2023 with a commitment to excellence and innovation, making every visit to their kitchen a remarkable gastronomic adventure.

“At JusTini’s, we take pride not only in our culinary masterpieces but in giving back to our community as well,” said Jessica Robinson, owner and founder of JusTini’s. “It is all about women supporting women, and we are honored to partner with and support a community organization like Operation Restoration for this women-driven initiative.”
