There are certain things that define a city, a people, a way of life. While New Orleans is full of history and culture, no family quite describes that culture like the Brennan family. They are the Kennedys of the south and their Camelot includes generations of restaurants that have brought our culture and tradition to the forefront of daily life in the city.
Their namesake restaurant, Brennan’s of New Orleans, has stood the test of time. During a recent New Orleans Bride Magazine event, the LTEC gang sat in the charming courtyard sipping champagne and taking in the magical space. Located on Royal Street in the heart of the French Quarter, Brennan’s reopened its doors over a year ago to a welcoming crowd. New and improved, the restaurant location still holds the same feel and inspiration as the restaurant generations of New Orleanians have known and loved.
Any bride looking for an authentic New Orleans experience will love the updates and amenities provided by Brennan’s. Each of its eight dining areas has the ability to be transformed into a dream wedding location. Have your ceremony in the courtyard beneath the exposed brick, travel inside the Roost Bar for cocktail hour then head to Chanteclair Room for dinner and back out into the Courtyard to dance the night away.
Whether you are looking to accommodate hundreds of people or just a few dozen for a shower, small soiree or rehearsal dinner , Brennan’s can accommodate and personalize your Big Day.
Two of our favorite rooms upstairs at the Brennan’s location are the Rex Room and the Queen’s Room. Each has the air of royalty and access to the gorgeous balcony overlooking Royal Street. The Queen’s Room is an elegant spot for a bridal shower or lunch honoring the queen of the day. The Rex Room can accommodate 35 for a seated dinner or up to 75 for a reception style event. The Queen’s Room allows for 24 seated and 45 reception style. Open both rooms and combine the space for the king and queen of the wedding.
Other rooms include:
Morphy Room – Located upstairs, allows for 12 seated or 25 reception style
Havana Room – Also upstairs, permits 63 seated and 100 reception style
Vieux Carre – Just to the right of the entrance, this space allows for 45 at a seated dinner and 85 reception
Roost Bar – Overloking the Courtyard, this bar area seats 20 or 30 for reception
Chanteclair Room – Along the side of the Courtyard, the room can hold 110 seated or 160 reception
As an added extra, Brennan’s has a secluded wine room off the first floor Chanteclair Room. With a look we’ll call medieval, preppy chic, the Wine Room is perfect for a sophisticated start to a bachelor party or a stylish rehearsal dinner. Overlooking parts of their wine collection, the Wine Room is able to seat 16 and offers a wine program that allows guests to have a chefs tasting with personal wine pairings. Wine Spectator named Brennan’s one of the best wine restaurants in the world, so who are we to argue?
Flexible, accommodating and stylish, Brennan’s has the ability to turn your Big Day into an unforgettable Big Easy experience.
