The Junior Achievement honored the 2007 Class of Rising Stars – a group of outstanding individuals who are under the age of 40 – at the 4th annual City Stars Soirée on Nov. 10 at The Shops at Canal Place. Co-presented by Latter & Blum, the party featured catering by dozens of local restaurants, drinks from Republic Beverage Co., and entertainment by ELS.
The Rising Stars of 2007 were John Besh, Rita Benson LeBlanc, Philip Nimmo, Clark Todd and Sidney Torres IV; they were selected based on their strong entrepreneurial skills as well as their high moral and ethical standards. The Junior Achievement has been recognizing “Rising Stars” since 2004, celebrating role models and inspiring the younger generations.
