Looking Forward

The lovely home of Lynne and Hugh Uhalt was the site for the annual Planned Parenthood of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta benefit held Oct. 25. The home was integral as its art-filled walls created the perfect setting for the art auction, for which this event is known. Throughout the house partygoers found pieces by Raine Bedsole, John Patrick Salisbury, Simon Gunning, Emily Sartor and others that they could bid on. Another special element was that many of the artists were in attendance. Guests also enjoyed sampling cuisine by Bacco and music by Joe Simon’s Jazz Band. Of course, this all was very entertaining, but it was for a serious cause: to support Planned Parenthood’s mission to ensure the right and ability of individuals to manage their sexual and reproductive health by providing health services, education and advocacy.
