NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Los Jefes Grill, home of award-winning tacos and cocktails, will host its 5th annual Cinco de Mayo festival in Metairie on Wednesday, May 5, at Fat City Park.
The event, which runs from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m., features food and drinks, live music and contests at the park, located at 3720 Hessmer in Metairie.
Grammy-nominated performer Mannie Fresh will headline the DJs, which include DJ Emotion and DJ2Nyce. Headliner band is the Honey Island Swamp Band, with additional music provided by Otra and the La Tran-K Band.
Admission, which is $30 per person, includes all-you-can-eat tacos. The cash bar will feature margaritas. And the champion of the taco eating contest will win fee tacos for a year from Los Jefes.
VIP packages are available and include:
• Admission and all-you-can-eat tacos for six guests
• 6 VIP wristbands
• a bottle of Avion Silver tequila with bottle service and Red Bull
• a picnic-style table in the VIP area for the entire event
Los Jefes is partnering for this event with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Louisiana. Some of the proceeds will benefit the HCCL’s work with DACA applicants.
This event will conform to all Jefferson Parish and Louisiana state COVID guidelines.
