NEW ORLEANS (press release) – Join the New Orleans Arts and Cultural Host Committee at the Louis Armstrong Summer Jazz Camp Benefit Concert and Patron Reception July 10 to support and celebrate this monumental achievement in the camp’s history.
Enjoy performances by 2024 artist-in-residence Fred Wesley, who arranged and worked with and arranged for James Brown, the Count Basie Orchestra, Ray Charles, Lionell Hampton, and others.
Also performing are NEA Jazz Master and jazz camp artistic director Donald Harrison, Special Guest performance and MC “The Piano Prince of New Orleans Davell Crawford, Andrew Baham, Jonathan Bloom, Andy Brower, Dwight Fitch, Grammy winner Darius “Deezle” Harrison, Stephanie Jordan, Darrell Lavigne, Herman Lebeau, Marlon Jordan, TJ Norris, Roderick Paulin, Grammy winner Adam “BlaqnMilD” Pigott, Brian Quezergue, Chris Severin, and Don Vappie.
Patrons will enjoy a four-course dinner prepared by chef Pamela Pierre Bown of Gourmet Sacred Soul Kitchen Therapy.
