NEW ORLEANS (press release) – On Saturday, Jan. 8, we are honored to have special guest Dr. Corey Hebert read Martin’s Big Words by Doreen Rappaport at 11 a.m. in our Talk and Play Center. Dr. Hebert’s visit is part of our Community Kindness Project, a collaborative effort to promote literacy and reading by highlighting children’s books that can prompt meaningful conversations between caregivers and children about important topics of inclusivity, empathy, and diversity.
LCM and our partners Community Book Center and Baldwin & Co. will read the same children’s book title at our respective locations on the second Saturday of each month, times differ. We invite families to join any of the locations for this special reading and discussion.

WHEN: Saturday, January 8, at 11:00 a.m.
